Bookkeeper
Growth requires financial structure, not just clean books. We build the accounting, reporting, and finance function that gives you that framework.
Growing a business into a larger, more complex organization takes more than accurate bookkeeping — it takes financial structure: real visibility into margin, cash flow, and performance, and a framework for making decisions as the business scales. Breakline provides that structure. We take ownership of a business's accounting, reporting, and financial planning — the work a controller, an FP&A analyst, and a CFO would otherwise split — delivered as one integrated partnership. We work through a five-stage framework: Execute (accounting), Process (controllership), Reporting (management reporting), Planning (FP&A), and Strategy (fractional CFO). Engagements aren't picked off a menu — we scope to what the business actually needs now, and the relationship evolves as the business grows or gets more complex. Our experience comes from building accounting and finance functions inside small and mid-sized businesses, from the ground up. That work showed us something consistent: the businesses that build real financial structure grow faster and become more profitable than the ones that don't.
Bookkeeping & Controllership — $1,500–$4,000/month: For businesses that have outgrown a bookkeeper. We take over day-to-day accounting and add the oversight, reconciliation discipline, and reporting accuracy a growing business needs but doesn't have in-house. || Management Reporting & FP&A — $2,500–$7,000/month: For businesses that need more than clean books; margin analysis, KPI reporting, and budgeting/forecasting to actually run the business, not just close it monthly. || Fractional CFO Partnership — $3,500–$18,000/month: Full financial infrastructure and strategic decision support for businesses complex enough that forecasting, capital decisions, and multi-location or compliance-driven reporting are the real constraint.
