    Bespoke Wealth Solutions

I am a husband to Jes, father to two rambunctious sons and one indomitable daughter. Our family calls Northwest Arkansas home, a blend of my native Colorado and her native Northeast Texas. We enjoy riding our bikes to school, football (my oldest boy’s first word) practice, and traveling for Jes’ mural work keeps us on the move! We love visiting art museums, a favorite due to its proximity and “Water Lillies” is the Nelson Atkins in Kansas City. We enjoy all of the Smithsonian Museums in D.C. and look forward to visiting soon. I help you spend your wealth (defined as “Money, Energy, Attention and Time”) intentionally, and create proactive tax savings solutions. The experience that many people know is the advisor who has to sell something to make a quota. Typically they offer “free plans” and well, you’re probably doing the math in your head at this point. Just because it’s “free” doesn’t mean it’s without cost. I’m not willing to say that those types of advisors can’t be valuable partners, or that their work isn’t meaningful. I believe think there’s a better way… We can do all the investments, insurance, etc. that’s fine. What I don’t have to do is sell you something you don’t need to satisfy a quota. I get paid for my time, expertise, and most importantly – my ideas. I typically find 2-10x our fees in tax savings in the first month of working with a client. (I won’t engage a client that I can’t help) Imagine what we can do in a year… As a CFP(R) practitioner, I’ve pledged to uphold the fiduciary standard – to act solely in your best interest and as a Financial Planner, and I’ve staked my reputation on it.

By the time I was 10 years old, I wasn’t dreaming about becoming a doctor or a police officer. Instead, I knew I wanted to help people in a different way. That’s why I became a financial planner, just like my father and grandfather. While clients may have been surprised to see a 10-year-old apprentice sitting in on meetings, for me it was a time to take in the experience and passion evident in my father’s practice. And with two generations of successful financial planners leading the way, I was raised from the start to understand sound money management, investment philosophies and theories. It’s in my DNA, and I’m proud to walk in my father’s footsteps today. Building my own firm from the ground up, one of my main focuses has been to help take the mystery out of preparing for today and tomorrow through personalized comprehensive financial planning. In addition, I serve as a Adjunct Professor of Finance at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Working in this capacity gives me the freedom to combine my passion for personal finance with a love of educating others. I take my role as a professor/educator seriously and actively participate on two different boards that focus on financial literacy; the Finance Advisory Board within the Department of Finance at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and the Arizona Council on Economic Education. Over the course of my career, I’ve authored two books, Financial Intelligence: Getting Back to Basics After an Economic Meltdown and Money Mindset: Formulating a Wealth Strategy in the 21st Century and provided financial insight for many local and national media outlets including CNN Business, CNBC, FOX Business, TIME Magazine and more. I received my B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Economics and History from Arizona State University. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a NFLPA Registered Player Financial Advisor.

I didn't choose finance; I grew up in it. My father has spent his entire career as a CPA and Managing Director at Merrill Lynch, and I spent my childhood tagging along. I believe most people are one good plan away from a completely different financial outcome. The strategies that protect wealth, reduce taxes, and create real security aren't complicated; they're just rarely explained or offered. My team and I's job is to close that gap, and to make sure the people I work with never leave value on the table simply because nobody showed them the options.
