Mark Kempton is the Founder and Chief Executive of Kempton Accountancy, a California based accounting, business advisory, and tax planning firm serving business owners and their businesses. Mark began his professional career with KPMG Peat Marwick, an international public accounting firm, and rose to the rank of Partner, becoming a partner in charge of the Sacramento Accounting and Audit practice. Following his career in public accounting Mark working in the chain retail, restructuring, mortgage, real estate, and food industries in a variety of positions including Chief Financial Officer and Division President. Since its founding ten years ago, Mark has served as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of Operation Project Hope. Blessed by three talented and successful daughters and five grandchildren Mark also knows as The Ballet Dad having sponsored two daughters in pursuit of their dreams of performing on stage with The San Francisco Ballet and competing in global talent competitions at Lincoln Center. Now that 2 of the grandkids have their driver’s licenses he’s looking forward to being driven around in style. Having grown up in Northern California, Mark lives in Huntington Beach and is glad to be by the beach again after moving to Los Angeles more than 20 years ago. Mark enjoys car racing and has recently become an F-1 fanatic. He’s set his sights on watching an F-1 event at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, TX, and Monza, in Italy the home of his favorite team Ferrari. On the home front, he’s a long-time fan of Nascar.
