Users make money via the stock price appreciation and dividends of their own selected portfolio.
Firstrade generates income by earning interest on its credit balances and margin balances. They also receive income by routing venues and shares execution income.
Investment risks
With investing there is risk of possibly losing principal as there is no guarantee that investments made will provide positive returns over any time period. Despite this, the accounts are SIPC-insured for up to $500,000.
