Users make money via stock price returns and dividends with 0% management fees.
Sofi makes money through interest through an FDIC sweep program (due to uninvested cash held within accounts), lending securities to institutions that need to borrow shares, and rebates through their clearing firm, Apex Partners, using a payment-for-order-flow process.
